Sources of Funds
The 20/20 Development Fund integrates development funds from various sources, including Corporate Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Contributions, wholesale funds from Development Finance Institutions, and development funds from NGOs and Private entities. These funds are used to financially assist and empower black-owned SMEs in partnership with commercial banks.
At its core, the Fund serves to leverage Corporate ESD funds in a way that achieves higher impact through combining ESD funds with other supporting funding. This results in funding reaching a larger number of beneficiaries and being structured to meet the varying needs of SMEs at different stages of their development.
